A question about : Tax 'numpty' needs advice!

I am thinking of starting a small part-time biz from home and need to but some equipment and take out a loan. I understand that I can claim the equipment and loan interest as a capital expense on my tax return.
My question is how this works. If my taxable income is less than my tax allowance anyway (which it may well be in the first year) that won't make any difference to me will it? Because I won't owe any tax anyway?

My bank has just agreed to lend my new company dosh under the small firms loan guarantee. Snag is interest is 3.5% over base, there's a 1% arrangement fee and a 2% DTI/government premium on outstanding balance.

This seems quite expensive money, so I'm thinking..and this is where i'd appreciate your help:

Why don't i get a personal (unsecured) loan, at a significantly cheaper rate, and charge my new company interest as a directors loan?
(I'm 90% shareholder in the newco)

I need a good company to go with and need to know what insurance I need.

A question about : E Top-up

Can any other retailers recommend a company which provides the E-Top-up service?
I currently use E-Pay, however recently have been having terrible trouble with the terminal timing out and redialing, and transactions taking around 2 minutes!
