A question about : Donation to MSE charity fund

In preparation for my appearance on It Pays To Watch, the production team have kindly sent me a copy of Thrifty Ways....

This is very nice of them, but it does put me in a bit of a moral dilemma. As the proceeds from the sales of the book go the MSE charity fund, this is now out of pocket by £7.99.

How does one go about making a direct donation to the fund?

A question about : Money diet book

I'd really like to get this book as a present for someone but I wonder how relevant it is in these credit crunch days. Could anyone who has it give me their advice please?

Whilst an interesting read, the other 2 books wouldn't be as useful for the person I want to give it to, but I don't want to mislead by giving out of date information, - I'm not sure they would be able to filter out the useful from the out of date.

• i know you can have one for your partner or spouse, i would read the literature that came with it it will tell you in there what you can and cannot do, perhaps if you live at home with mum you may be able to get her one,ask your boss if you are not sure

A question about : Obtaining a Tax Refund from IRS in USA

Has anyone managed to get a tax refund from the IRS in USA?
My son has been trying to do so for over 2 years without success. He made one error on the application form and has been unable to correct it. The IRS in USA keep losing his papers and take months to reply to any correspondence. Also the Embassy people in London are less than helpful.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
