New Mission, New Diary

A question about : New Mission, New Diary

I've been using this site for a while to give me ideas and motivation to become debt free, but have never really stuck to anything permanent and am constantly in a cycle of clearing a few hundred pounds on a card then using the credit again.

Milann's loan has got to go......

A question about : Milann's loan has got to go......

I have been following MSE boards for a few years now changed a lot of my ways and was virtually debt free - then I took a loan out a couple of years ago with every intention of getting rid of it quickly with my newly acquired money managing skills - but it just aint happened YET - but that is about to change.......

Flying solo

A question about : Flying solo

Hello Folks,

This is my first diary. Until last week I'd never seen this section of MSE, then came across a story that is so close to my own it left me reeling. The author of that thread has inspired me to get my act together a bit better than I've been managing so far; this is the record of my progress (or lack of it on bad days).

Debt Free (again) in 2015

A question about : Debt Free (again) in 2015

I had my light bulb moment way back in November of 2007 when what I owed was the same as what I earned and it took me four years to clear the debt. Of cause I didn't do it as quickly as I could have because I didn't get rid of all my credit lines.
When I was finally debt free in 2011 I didn't really have a clear plan of what to do next so by 2012 I was back using credit and by 2013 I had taken out a loan as well.

A family of five

A question about : A family of five

Hi! I am Lynneee and I have been a member on here for a long time. This site has helped me in so many ways over the last 6 or 7 years but after 8 years of being a stay at home mummy to 3 children it is now time to sort our finances out and get back to financial security.

Job on the line. Debt must go!

A question about : Job on the line. Debt must go!

Having started my MSE earlier this year, I am starting a diary in order to benefit from being more controlled and paying off all this debt.

I was married at the end of last month, it was a beautiful gorgeous day but now that we are getting down to the reality of married life I would like us to start paying off more of our debt and become debt free.

I also want to further my career and my debt is seriously holding me back. Financial Services is not a good industry to become an expert in if you have debt!
