Hi, I have recently (12 months ago) set up a small business,
I recently did a job for a lady who for reasons unknown to me, bounced a cheque on me, she actually rang me before I contacted her, and she explained to me that she had a few problems with her own business changing the bank account from a company to sole trader, I accepted her explanation and told her not to worry too much, she appreciated my understanding and promised to sort it out,

A question about : Bank have lost my debt

Hi,

I have been trying for over a year now to pay off an outstanding amount to my bank which was owed from a joint account closed in 2010.

I have been repeatedly ringing the debt collectors to pay it off, but they will not speak to me because the debt (they say) is only in my husbands name.

I rang my bank today once again to see if I could sort this out because it is affecting my ability to gain credit etc and apart from thsi my credit file is totally clean!!!

A question about : Owing debt to British Gas

I am a single parent who owes arrears to British Gas. Over Ј1,000.
I tried to come to an agreement for arrears and they said theyre is a form we can send you to fill in who can assist in writing your debt off?
As I await for this form they have sent me a letter advising they have a warrant to exchange this meter to a prepayment meter.

Ok,
so along the way i have ignored a few letters and seems made the situation worse for myself.

What's happened is due to loosing my job, and having to sign on i have ended up with a debt of Ј173 to United Utilities.

I now have a warrent to take goods to the value, i opened the door to the guy he asked who i was and then i closed the door in his face. He stayed a long while then pushed a letter through my door. I never told him my name or anything like that.

A question about : Can i withdraw a small claime

I issued a small claime against another person for Ј1900, dishonest executor of my late farthers estate, i have been informed that they will be counter claiming for the same amount .. I dont really want to go to court twice, so i am thinking of withdrawing the claim & with expect him to do the same. is that possible ? thanks for any replies ..
