A question about : Dial-up Connection Probs

I have a problem folks and I hope someone can help please

When I switch on PC the dial-up connection opens straight away without me prompting it and I don't know why or how this happened.
I have tried to find it but can't.
It's not in the System Registry and it's not in Start Up.

Has anyone got any ideas please

A question about : Cheapest/Easiest way to Home Network

I have just ordered Tesco's Broadband package and would like to know the easiest/cheapist way to wirelessly connect my 2 home computers to both use broadband when it arrives.
Both run Windows XP and 1 has got a 10/100 Mbps Network Card Onboard.
Once they are networked can they both use the internet at the same time?

Hi, if anyone has this speed, is it really good? A friend had this speed, and he said that he cancelled it because web browsing was no different, he only noticed download files etc were faster

A question about : Dial up error 645 when accessing fast4.net

Opened a fast4.net unlimited dialup account. Trying to get on last night, encountered the following error after or during the verifying of my username and password.

Error 645
Dial-Up Networking could not complete the connection to the server.
Check your configuration and try the connection again.

Have re-checked username and password, and am able to get onto net with tesco a/c.
Something to do with TCP/IP settings?

A question about : Wanadoo 1mb Broadband

Just recieved an email frm Wanadoo stating that due to high demand anyone that has signed up for the offer then you should wait a further 10 days before contacting them as it is taking about 20 days to connect - just recieved mine today after complaining yesterday!

A question about : Need some basic advice about broadband allowances.

OK, I probably sound a real dumb0 to a lot of people here, but I know nothing about broadband.

If I were to sign up for a capped service, does this mean you are limited to the actual amount of time you could spend on the internet, surfing in general?

I'm not sure if just general surfing contributes to your monthly allowance & as I have a disability & live alone I do often spend the whole day on the net. So my usage there is quite high.

A question about : Cheap Broadband

Hi

Looking for ADSL for a friend in London. Cable is not available nor is Homechoice, so its down to ADSL. I don't like the services with limits on them plus he wants to play online games and I can't see the point in Wanadoo cutting him off after 1.5 hours etc. Although I do know that these limits are probably not currently enforced.
