A question about : Won employment tribunal but employer not paying
Hi,
Earlier this year I was working for a company which was paying me irregularly (had been there over 5 years in total) and the problem was slowly getting worse as I wasn't being paid a full months wage so what they owed me was going up.
Once I decided I couldn't afford to work there any more I spoke to Citizens Advice who arranged for me to speak to someone who specialised in employment law. He told me to start looking for a new job and to leave the company I was at as soon as I did.
I was very fortunate and found a new job straight away. Once I'd left my old job I gave the old company a few weeks to pay (which they didn't) so I started employment tribunal proceedings. My ex employer didn't enter any response and the tribunal found that my claim was well founded and awarded me the full amount I was claiming.
They were told to pay within a certain amount of time otherwise interest would start being added on. Today was the last day of that time.
What should be my next course of action? Do I pay the Ј60 to get the HCEO involved straight away?
