What is your weekly spend average and where do you spend it?

Our family now consists of two pensioners, main shop Morrisons, average spend Ј70

Best answers:

• 2 adults (42 and 53) mainly shop at Asda or Tesco.
  Average spend is Ј110 per week including booze, toiletries and cleaning stuff.
• 3 Adults
  we shop at various places to cherry pick the best buys in each--all are pretty accessible as I work at multiple sites around town.
  Ј50 per week to include all toiletries/cleaning/food/drinks. Almost never buy takeaway food or eat out.
• 2 adults 1 teenager. Average shop at Aldi is about Ј50
• 1 adult, 1 teenager and a 10 year old, plus our fussy cat.
  I spend anywhere between Ј60-Ј100. But we buy some organic stuff, dairy free stuff and also other 'health' foods which are more expensive than normal.
  That includes all food, pet food and household things like cleaning stuff.
• 1 Adult, Lidl, Ј8-10/week at a guess ... including some sweeties
• 3 adults, (one has to eat and drink at least 50% more than a normal adult), 12 yr old, dog.
  Tesco - Ј100 to Ј125 weekly
  Iceland - Ј50 a month
• Only me. I'd say Ј20 maybe Ј25pw
• Three adults and two teenagers plus the dog, about Ј150 per week on average, but that is guesswork!
  We have a lot of basics delivered by Tesco as it saves time and travel costs, plus top up shops at Aldi and Lidl.
  Difficult to say exactly as I also have things like loo roll, kitchen roll, dishwasher tablets and the like delivered in bulk, but as the average Tesco shop we do is usually just under Ј100, and is not every week, I guess this is an average.
  The only way I would get a true figure is to monitor exact spends over several months and not got time to do that!
• 2 Adults (mid 20s). We only shop at Tesco and we do Ј50 every wee that includes alcohol if we want it, plus toiletries and household items. If we don't want alcohol that week, we treat ourselves to something else with the money we would use, like a dvd to watch, or a takeaway.
• Two of us (27 and 30) spend max of Ј50 a week in Sainsbury. This includes any household cleaning stuff, the odd toiletries and any alcohol (we're not big drinkers at home).
• Two adults (mid-twenties) at an average of Ј43.06 per week from Aug 2013 to Aug 2014. Includes food, alcohol, cleaning products and toiletries. Mainly from ASDA.
• Ј60 a week. Single male. Shop at Tesco. I'm 'Normal' weight according to the BMI Index.
• Pensioner....Lidl mainly though shop around. About Ј10 wk.
• single female, Ј15 a fortnight at Aldi, cook from scratch, take lunch to work and haven't had a takeaway this year.
• 2 adults, 2 children of 11 & 4. Spend about Ј150 a week, tesco deliveries or sometimes waitrose. Oh buys his lunches at work and dd has school dinners. Could cut down if needed as lots of luxuries in there.
