What to do with used makeup?

A question about : What to do with used makeup?

Hi,
I would like to get rid of make up items that I no longer use, but they are not new so I can't sell them.. I hate putting them on the bin as I think someone can still use them, but not sure how?

Would it be ok to offer it on freecycle?

• Not sure whether health and safety rules allow this - freecycle might have it on their FAQ's whether you can? I'm in the same position to be honest. I gave some of them to a friend I know but that's all.
• Wouldn't fancy the idea of used makeup myself. I think it should be binned.
• It needs to be binned for hygiene reasons unless you offer it to friends etc or friends children for dress up etc and then its up to them, they took it. Personally I'd just bin it.
