A question about : What are my chance of getting a first mortgage

Hi

Me and my partner are looking at first time mortgages but we have some debt from being students on credit cards which amounts to Ј8,000
Also with cars on finance, I'm getting very nervous if we will get a mortgage.
We have a Ј30,000 deposit with a Ј11,000 as a safety net (don't want to use) and want to borrow Ј100,000.
Does anyone think this is possible?

• I think I would speak to a broker as some lenders will be a bit iffy about the amount of debt but in the main I think you will be fine, your incomes should be more than enough.
