Hi

I have a Emporio Armani Tazio Rose Tone Case Chronograph Rubber Strap watch.

I just had the battery replaced from a cheap market stall and that was the biggest mistake I made as now 2 of the front pins which serve the sub dials have literally just fallen off and fallen to the bottom. How this has happened I dont know as the market stall guy didnt even access that watch from the front, it was simply a battery replacement but clearly he has moved something which has caused this.

Went back to the stall but they refused to admit that they caused that, so I am now stuck but would like to get my watch repaired.

Does anyone recommend anywhere in the west midlands area or even an online repairer?

  I used these people, within Debenhams in the Bullring Birmingham.
  Get a written quote first if the watch isn't worth a small fortune, and if you leave it with anyone for repair, take a photo of it beforehand, and get a receipt which gives a description of the watch.
• Assuming that by "small pins" you mean the hands for the sub dials then it's quite likely that it was caused by the battery change. If you're heavy handed taking the old one out then you can pull the movement ("workings") away from the dial and that will loosen the hands even if it doesn't pull them right off. The trouble is, proving it will be next to impossible becaue a single drop can have the same effect.
  It's an easy fix as long as the pivots the hands push on to haven't been damaged. I'd quote Ј5 (Ј10 with a pressure test after to guarantee water resistance) to refit the hands and zero everything up again. Normally I'd ask about half an hour depending on how busy I was. Bear in mind that we're cheap (Anglesey is a deprived area) but that gives you some idea of how long the job takes and what's reasonable to quote for it.
