A question about : Update
so just to update my mum bought caravan back for us another slight dilema though! ....... Insurance on it, we pay this monthy through and its paid through premium credit its due for renewal in june just looked and it states this
Can anyone make use of the monthly payment plan facility?
Credit is subject to status. To be eligible, customers:
- Must be 18 years old or over
- Must hold a UK bank account (capable of accepting Direct Debits)
- Must not have been declared bankrupt
If I stay with same company I obviousbly wont need to do a reference check to be able to continue monthly payments but could it affect my actual insurance if i havent declared br to company that allow the monthly payments??
Best answers:
- If you don't let them know your bankrupt and you make a claim on the insurance they could refuse to payout. You are best calling them, if they say they can't insure you then shop around for a deal
- Or.... if your Mum bought out the caravan for you, could she take out the insurance in her name, as she is now the owner ;-) then you can pay her monthly. Since I went BR last year I have had no problem with insurance as long as I pay annually. I haven't been allowed monthly payments on any of them.
