A question about : unhappy with 'Search' in forums
Here is the issue:
I'm looking for 'Mattress Protector' with the aim if obtaining a good one, but must must be wateproof,
So under Keyword(s) box type: Mattress Protector waterproof
The search returns posts, but some have 3882 replies, and others 4499, 9387 and one even has 14545 replies.
Must I search through possibly 14500+ entries to find the subject Mattress Protector waterproof?
Surly there must be an easier way? If there is not, there should be.
Best answers:
- Are you searching on posts rather than threads , it does cut it down a bit
- put
site:https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com Mattress Protector waterproof
into google - When you search there are two options , one for search for threads ( default ) and another for posts , tick that box and it shows matching posts instead of threads that contain the words
Don't think I phrased my reply all that well the first time - Some great replies there. Hopefully you found what you were looking for
- search for mattress AND protector
the "AND" must be in capitals - Also use operators to help filter your search further.
These are absolute basic-level computing functions, so should not need explaining to any user at all.
