A question about : Trying to cancel Total Fitness Membership

My partner is trying to cancel her membership with these guys. She has moved abroad to do a years work.

She gave them 4 weeks written notice then cancelled the DD. They kept sending letters asking for relocation documents, said the best we could do at the moment was flight details. They asked for us to send them through so I did now they are saying this isn't enough.

They want a contract from an employer abroad (which she doesn't have as she's picking up bits of jobs here and there) or a utility bill with her name on it (also not possible as she's living with other people with nothing in her name).

They said without this they will not cancel and pass on to a 3rd party. Any advice??

• If her employer required her to move and would provide details of this (relocation documents) then they would let her cancel. If she has just decided to go overseas to work for a year, then it is her choice to do so and she will probably be held to the contract terms - the remainder of the year.
