A question about : travel republic-wrong prices
I received emails and texts today to go to my booking.. On opening them they are saying that 2 hotel rooms I booked 3 days ago in Portugal had been priced wrongly, even though I had received confirmation of my bookings at the time via email. They give me 3 options, cancel and get full refund, pay over Ј600 extra per room, or rebook and get 5% discount... This surely isnt right ? How can they pull the booking from me once I've had confirmation. Plus it was advertised on trivago and travel republic at the price I paid for at least 2 days .
Best answers:
- I assume this was a pricing error
section 10 here https://www.travelrepublic.co.uk/ter...ncy-terms.aspx
" in cases where details other than price are materially incorrect we will offer you the choice of continuing with your booking or cancelling with a full refund of money paid on that booking only."
You don't give the price details but I assume with a Ј600 difference to pay this looked like a "great bargain" as it was clearly the incorrect price - Can you find similar rooms from competitors similarly priced to your original price? If so you might have an argument.
