A question about : TESCO H&B COUPONS
This is a continuation of the previous THREAD
Tesco have frequently been releasing coupons giving money off when you buy Beauty, Toiletry and Healthcare products. When there is an influx of these coupons it is possible to use them all together and end up paying nothing for the products you buy, sometimes you'll end up being in credit.
The trick is to buy items on Buy One Get One Free, the coupons apply on the price before 'BOGOF'. Simple Example, buy 4 products at £2.50 on BOGOF, hence total is £10.00. Assume you have £5 worth of coupons these will kick in on the price before BOGOF. Therefore £10 less BOGOF = £5, use your £5 in coupons and pay £0.00.
As and when new coupons come out, i'll keep this thread updated, it makes sense to have 1 thread instead of half a dozen.
Beauty and Toiletry are items such as Shampoo, Bodywash, Deodrant, Toothpaste etc.
Healthcare are items such as Vitamins, Plasters, etc

For Newbies
All coupons are normally found on or near the Pharmacy counter in Tesco, (NOTE - This example shows what can be achived if theres many coupons available, some of the below have expired)
Example: Buy 4 x Herbal Essences Shampoo @ £2.78 each. Total before Buy One Get One Free is £11.12, This is when all your coupons will kick in. Now take off the BOGOF. Total to pay is £5.56
Now use the following coupons
1 x £2.50 off £10 spend - H&B (Health And Beauty)
1 x £1.00 off £4.00 spend - H&B
1 x £2.50 off £10 spend - SB (So Beautiful Booklet, see other threads)
2 x £1.25 off £5 spend Toiletries - QK (Quit Smoking Kit, see other threads)
1 x £2.00 off £8 spend Beauty or Toiletries - Leaflet
If you have all of the above coupons you can use them all on this one shop,.You have £10.50 worth of coupons which will ALL be accepted by the till so you will be in credit by £4.94 to use against your other shopping (plus you got the 4 Herbal Essences for free) ....
The only problems you may have are that the sales assistant wont take them all but most do. 
Lastly don't forget to use the 50 extra clubcard point coupons as well. You can use more than one on each shop, in the above example you can use 4, so 200 extra points added to the bargain.

Below is the now expired Quit Pack, these normally include £1.25 off £5 Beauty & Toiletries plus others that could be combined such as £1.00 off Plax Mouthwash

These normally include a £2.50 & £1.00 off H&B, £1.00 of Healthcare and a 50 pointer.
The below examples have expired, these tend to come out every 2-6 weeks.
The Below is a leaflet giving £2 off an £8 Spend expired 20/05/2007
Similar ones to this have frequently been issued in £1 or £2 nominations.
So Beautiful Booklet, examples below have expired
Coupons normally include a £2.50 off £10 spend plus 2 other coupons for example 50 extra points and money of a certain H&B product. These have been appearing approx every 6 weeks. This a an A5 booklet containing approx 15-20 pages, coupons are on the inside cover.
Other coupons (booklets & leaflets) have been appearing near the pharmacy on a regular basis, these can all be combined together. As and when they are available they will be shown on this page.

I went to Tesco today for a few bits and found a lovely scan happy young girl (for a change) who took all my vouchers, including the Hb ones and ended up with a lovely small total to pay, I am now stocking up on Herbal Essences as my sister likes them, makes a change from John frieda - Yeah new thread....now i just need to think of something to post!!!!
Great end to week brought Slim fast, Dove and colgate tp (something i actually need... its a new idea of mine to buy stuff i want, might catch on!) Selected two great sa and reduced my bill to pennies..yeahhh.
Love the glitch where u can use the 0.70p coupons out of the SB. Ive thanked the person, who posted it, but i cant remember now!!
Does anyone know where i can find some So beautifuls?? - Coupon policy never ceases to amaze.
Told this week in the SAME store, 3 coupons on things you haven't bought, then the next day only one:confused:
Then today in another store - only use a total of 5 coupons (eeek - which H&B to go for!!!)
and again in the same store, as many as you like if they are Tesco ones!!:rolleyes:
Would love to have a straight forward policy all stores will stick to!

Many thanks in advance! - I too had my 1st H&B shop in ages..... went well supervisor even told SA that if the till accepts them take them.... over Ј15 off my shopping and some lovely free toiletries (as this was my monthly big shop- inc nappies etc) with the xtra HL club points & BTC, and the H&B managed 1200 and a bit points on a Ј72 spend - i'm sure many do better but i was very happy with that
- I have never seen any So Beautifuls either thebrow, and my store has stopped doing the Quit packs now eek so I am soon to run out :rolleyes:
I did two more shops today, first one:
2 Herbal Essences 2.98 each
2 Timotei 1.65 each
1 Imperial Leather 1.00
1 get well soon card for my grandad
used 1.00 HB, 2.50 HB, 1.25 QK, 50 points HB, total left to pay 2.12
Second shop I decided to try again with Healthcare as I'm stockpiling these at this rate:
2 Durex tingle/heat 3.48 and 3.49 each
1 Gaviscon Handipack 1.39
Tesco Indigestion tabs 0.85
used 1.00 Healthcare from HB, 2.00 Healthcare from QK, total to pay 2.73
Not that impressive but I'm more than happy paying out under a fiver for all that lot

You could have used 2 x 50 pointers on your H&B shop, one for each of the Herbal Essences. I don't think there are any other Healthcare coupons you could use.
BFx - Is that cos they were over £2 each? The thing is, all of the coupons say only one per transaction, and my SA whoever I pick ALWAYS reads the back of every coupon I give, and so I always just play it safe and give only 1 of each type per shop

Ј3.14 Credit - Well it had to happen eventually after such a good run, I had to pay almost normal prices tonight after my favourite scanner ever, said he could only take 10% off my bill using coupons as he had had his knuckles rapped for allowing people to use too many coupons
Thing was, he waited until he had scanned everything before telling me!
And tonight of all nights was the first time we had bought clothing as we wanted to use the blue clothing vouchers and hubby was after some new jeans and shirts. I did manage to get a new top and skirt for me and a brilliant new bag as well that has a miniature bag inside it (fab for coupons!) and total to pay before coupons was Ј73 ish, after coupons it came down to Ј43 as I also bought 3 John Frieda at the same time (yes again!)
He did allow me another Ј4 off the bill though even though he had already accepted the clothing vouchers and the John frieda vouchers. hubby was with me and wasn't too happy to be asked to pay Ј39 when he was hoping to pay less than Ј10!
I also had a second shop lined up on the belt as was wanting to take advantage of the credit to be gained when buying the Dove shower gel and using the 70p couons, not to be though!
he seemed scared to death of putting a foot wrong and kept checking the bill to see if I had bought the right things for the vouchers I had passed him, so he wouldn't use the Ј2.50 off as said I hadn't spent Ј10, wouldn't use the 40p toothpaste ones as I hadn't bought Colgate (I bought two 12p sale ones) and he wouldn't use the 70p one as I had obviously bought Dove showergel and not Palmolive!
Think he actually only scanned 1 Ј1.25 one and 1 Ј1.00 one
I was tempted to get him to void them off but hubby had already walked off with the trolley and packed bags so couldn't!
I am tempted to take them back to CS tomorrow but then again, is it really worth it for Ј4.56?
plus they will then see the coupons he did use on the receipt so maybe not a good idea after all...
I shan't let it get me down though and shall be back out tomorrow shopping for England once again - Luckily I only need to do a H&B shop once a month (don't really need to do it that often as i live by myself and two bottles of shampoo and mouthwash last longer than a mouth) so I'm hoping to keep under the radar
The only things i would need from my next H&B shop would be soap/ shower gel and cotton buds which isn't going come to £10 - I've been stocking up on Slim Fast, I've still got shampoo and conditioner in my cupboard from Christmas (when the temps were maning the tills!!!) I need some more vitamins and these dont seem to be on special at the moment.I'm going to treat the OH to some Durex bits and bobs, he looked at me strangely when I said this to him yesterday, then I explained they would essentially be free.
