A question about : Tesco CC & petrol points

I wondered if anyone else had noticed this-

I have a Tesco CC which, ever since they halved the points they give on fuel, has served to retain the 1 point per Ј1 fuel thing, no matter what card is used to pay.

I have just noticed that now, whether I use the Tesco CC to pay or another, I now only get 1 point per Ј2, despite using the Tesco CC as a clubcard.

I don't remember seeing anything about this change! Have I missed something? I, and my OH, use a fair amount of petrol each month, so this has been a nice little boost each month

• i was of the understanding that 1ccp for every Ј2 spent on fuel was standard, nowadays

• Oh no. How long ago did this change? I always use tesco credit card as a clubcard and pay on my cashback card. Tbh don't look at the receipts
• This is a strange one, to say the least.
  I last used my Tesco credit card at a Pay@Pump facility in late November and received 1 point for every litre purchased and then 1 point for every Ј4 on top of it.
  I haven't tried just using my credit card as my Clubcard and then using another method of payment; I *believe* they changed the rule from 1 point to 1 litre to 1 point per Ј2 when they scrapped the double Clubcard scheme a couple of years back.
• Are you sure it's ended I just checked my club card statement and on the 1st December I received 57 points for my Ј57.53 spend on petrol and paid on my Luma cashback card
• I use pay at pump, Tesco credit card in first for club card points, but when I get the message asking if I wanted to pay with that card I selected no then paid for my 4% cash back card.
• For clarity, let's forget the 1 point per Ј4 of spend. That's unaffected.
  A normal Clubcard pays 1 point for each Ј2 of fuel.
  If, however, you use your Tesco credit card as the Clubcard for a fuel purchase, even when paying with a different card or cash, they've been rewarding it at a rate of 1 point per Ј1.
  If this has changed I'm not aware that I've been notified. As it's a detrimental change to my credit card account I believe they should give me two months notice in writing.
  As such, if they have made a change (which appears to be open to some debate), I believe they have acted illegally under the Payment Services Regulations.
• I last filled up at Tesco a couple of weeks ago and got 2 Clubcard points per Ј1 (Momentum 99 earns double points) by using my Tesco CC as a Clubcard and paying with a different card.
  It's a shame if they have ended this, I'll have to test it when I next get fuel. If it has finished I have no reason to keep my Tesco CC any more!
• It looks like a heck of a lot of you MSE'ers haven't bought any fuel from Tesco for almost as long as me.
  Tesco halved their clubcard points awarded on fuel (ignoring any TPF points) over 2.5 years ago!
