A question about : Switching The One account to Halifax
Has anyone had any problems with Halifax saying that you won't get Ј125 to switch as the one account won't change this account to a standard bank account. the one account say that Halifax have to do a partial switch and then they will do the other bit. Can't see anything in Halifax's t&c so think I should still get the Ј125.
Any comments would be great.
Many thanks
Best answers:
- You can't do a full switch from an RBS One Account. You can only do a partial switch. Halifax are right.
- You need to ask Halifax. It is possible that The One Account sort code will be excluded from the CASS (which must be used for the offfer).
- I can't see it written anywhere though. So your saying I won't get the Ј125 to switch then?
- It says "To qualify for the Ј125 switching offer ("the offer") you must use the 'Current Account Switch Service'". By implication, an account that cannot be switched using the CASS, will not qualify fo the Ј125 (whilst one that can, will). Certain sort codes will be excluded from the CASS. Halifax will know whether your account can be switched using the CASS.
- The one account is an offset mortgage account not a current account
