Hi,

I usual get student discount at House of Fraser through my NUS Card, I study CIMA. I went to apply for a code as I have a birthday present I would like to buy for ~Ј300. When I tried to get my code, House of Fraser now only use UniDays, which doesn't accept CIMA as a valid student scheme, even though I study at College, and have a student card and NUS Xtra Card, which you can buy as long as you are studying CIMA.

It is a bit different from all the promotional material that says student loans won't stop you getting a mortgage isn't it!!

Hi guys,

I have some issues with anxiety and depression. I don't talk about them much to anyone because, to be honest, I have issues accepting them myself. On the good days, I don't want to be depressed so I don't think about it, on the bad days I don't want to talk to anyone about anything let alone about that.

Does anyone have experience of paying student loans while working in the Middle East?

My husband and I have just moved out there and he's trying to sort out his student loan.

The SLC in its wisdom have decided Dubai is a much cheaper place to live than the UK (ha!) and lowered the thresholds for repayment, so he's gone from paying Ј40 a month to being expected to pay at least Ј200 and perhaps as high as Ј600, depending on an assessment of his income.
