Stockport- New Town Sofas- Vernon Mill?

A question about : Stockport- New Town Sofas- Vernon Mill?

Does anyone have any experience of this company please? Never heard of them before but walked into the showroom on spec today and was very impressed. Just wary about spending a load of money without a recommendation!

  Sorry this response comes quite a while after your post, I have only recently become a client of this company, so could not have responded before now..
  Did you decide to buy from them? I hope so... I can highly recommend them, Squashy! So much so that I actually joined this forum especially to tell you that! It may be too late to be of use to you, if you went elsewhere, but perhaps someone else will find this thread and find it helpful.
  I bought a sofa from New Town Sofas' sister company (which is quite accurate actually... They are a family firm) based here in Scotland - called Country Sofas. Their range however is also made in Vernon Mills, by New Town Sofas.
  After having had three sofas over the last 20 years that I realised, within only a short while after each purchase, were not right for me, I can't tell you what a pleasure it was to be able to get exactly the sofa I wanted and needed, right down to the fact that I could choose the dimensions down to the last centimetre!
  The choice of fabrics (and fillings too) was staggering, and the advice was perfect... I was even asked questions that helped me to learn where I had gone wrong with my previous purchases.
  I never felt rushed, I felt like I could have drifted from sofa to sofa all day if I'd wanted to... This helped so much because, rightly or wrongly, I tend to feel rushed in showrooms. That did not apply here, which meant that I was actually able to sit on the sofa for as long as is actually required, in order to find out if it will be comfortable over long term usage.
  My new sofa was carefully delivered within less than two months of my initial visit.. which is also pretty impressive.
  So.. Yes... Both Country Sofas (located in Perthshire) and NewTown Sofas in Stockport, where the furniture is all made, are indeed worth considering.
  ... And no... I'm not an employee!
