A question about : Southend Airport

I don't live far from Southend Airport and have used Easyjet to go to Karkow, Jersey and Portugal for short breaks.

Thinking of booking for another short break destination perhaps in Spain but don't like the thought of high rise hotels etc but would like to be near a beach and not too far from the Airport.

Any suggestions on a nice place to visit would be gratefully received

PS last year when we visited Jersey for a long weekend, Jersey airport was closed due to fog for two days, Easyjet put us up in a 4* hotel on the seafront and included a daily decent meal allowance, kept us informed and offered transport to and from the airport - cannot complain
