  • findingmyownway..... dont worry about it, i went out for a MEGGA chinese meal last friday and was sooooooo bad !!!!! but as from the sat morning i just got right back on track and stayed good all week. when i got weighed yesterday i had lost 3lb still and i was shocked, so as long as you be good from today then you should be able to put it right.. when is your wi day ?
on a bad note now... after being so happy after my wi and good all day yesterday .. i went and spoilt it my stuffing crisps and chocolate all evening !!!!! why ???? !!!!!!
going to have a red day today, have got some pork spare ribs and im going to make the spare rib sauce from the sauce book to pour over the top, also think im going to have a bash at that all day breakfast quiche as it sounds so yummy
good luck to anyone who has wi today x x
  • This flipping diet is driving me mad. Yesterday, I decided to be good, so had a red day. For breakfast I had boiled egg & 1 round wholemeal toast, lunch was ham salad with one spoonful of salad cream. Dinner was Aldi lamb shanks with four tiny new potatoes and veg, and then later I had half a packet of french fries, and one small glass of wine.
Weighed myself this morning, and I had put on half a lb
I know, I have to be good today, but I really don't know what I did yesterday. My turn to be fed up, but I'll pull myself together and get on with it - is this really my life from now on
  • Hi y'all... Ooooh.... shiny thread...
Am still around just finding it hard to keep up with the thread! Didn't get to weigh in this week as had to pick up parents from airport (i LOVE a proper excuse!!) but fingers crossed for next week...
  • morning all, went to class last night and 1/2 lb loss. not too bad. back on the drinking plenty this week. i knew it wasn't going to be a huge loss as its star week and i've lost 4 and half over the two previous weeks. still very happy and
  • So my menu plan for the weekend includes:
Today Im green so mean beanz italian for lunch with spring onion and chillis
tea is 170g (using both HEB) of gammon steak with plenty of jacket chips and two pineapple rings (1.25 syns)
Tomorrow Red so Mushroom and bacon omlette for breakfast, stir fry for lunch ? (not sure on this however) and slimming world beef madras curry for tea with onion bhajis (1 syn each) and tomato relish - what I can have instead of rice?
Im going to try and stick to 10 syns until my next weigh in (Wednesday) and also cut back on the alcohol as one LARGE (not measured!) glass of wine sends me to sleep!
Sunday is a blank - Ive had a quick look at a couple of mags but nothing has inspired me yet so any ideas???
Im also getting bored with having Mean Beanz for lunch and wondered if anyone had any suggestions for some different lunch ideas for both red and green days?
  • Well done 1601
Bet you're glad you went now
  • hi flat eric,
try the mushed up cauli instead of rice, i did last night, and it was yummy, i really enjoyed it.
lunches i have for green days are the mug shots noodle ones,
hm soup (lob veggies in a pan, with 1pt stock made with jar bovril and simmer),
rice quiche (cook a pack of savoury rice, stick in a flan tray thingy, mix in 2-3 eggs, and bake till firm),
potato wedges and a hm salsa type dip (finely chop tomatoes, onions, and peppers, mix up and leave overnight, add any herbs or spices you like, i tend to stick with garlic, but i'm sure someof you are more adventurous.)
jacket potato always good, with beans, or mushy peas, or my latest favourite mint sauce mixed into mayonaise.
tomato and herb pasta n sauce, made up and added veggies (i stick a handful of frozen mixed veggies in to up my veggies intake, makes it go further too)
i don't do red days but i'm sure someone will come along and help on that soon.
    hope someof this helps,
    160
  • Thanks Consultant, I will consider my legs slapped (in a nice way) and soldier on. I know the weight will come off if I stick to it. I will try to be really good at the weekend
Going to Morrisons to get some of their eat smart sausages, as I'm not really keen on the Quorn sausages
I'm going to do the Quorn chow mein tonight, as that is lovely, and not a bit like a slimming meal
  • Morning all!!
Well done losersJust had my wholemeal toast for breakfast (can't always face eggs, etc.) and ham quiche and salad for lunch. Out for tea, so I'll have to choose wisely
I'm going to do the beef kofta curry with yoghurt dressing over the weekend, which was mentioned on here, but I found the recipe in SW magazine. Someone (might have been Shanleypink) mentioned kebabs too. I don't have the curry book, so if anyone knows how you make the kebabs, please let me know...
My first weigh-in Sunday, but is it mostly water you lose in the first week? I seem to remember someone saying that to me...
  • I lost 2lb this week so total is 8.5 since is started so im really chuffed with that
I'm off to the pub for a meal tonight so will have to try and be sensible and have a free lunch etc all day to compensate as not sure what will be on the menu. I'm going to have to get back in to exercise this week.
  • findingmyownway - that sausage recipe looks lovely. I might give that a go. It looks free to me and would only be the gravy to count or free with bovril.
I bought the bovril chicken jar..is this what makes chicken stock? I couldnt find cubes or vecan anywhere
  • Hi guys,
Blimey, I managed 4 days of "being good" so far - this is getting almost to an obsession! Spending so long on this thread that I have to rush to do things prior to work and I haven't visited any other thread for days.
Last night the cafe brought us their unsold food such as sandwiches, chocapains, sausage rolls and danish etc - but I resisted and had NONE!!!
Crumbs, making me hungry just to mention it.Thanks to all for your continued support and motivational messages - and well done to "losers" .
Here's to me joining you this week, I hope!
I know I will probably not be so good tomorrow as I'm wine tasting - what a waste to spit, and if I'm honest I probably won't if it's nice.
Prawn Paella tomorrow from th e latest SW mag -i will feedback to you'll Sunday after my WI.
    Cheers you lot
  • Found you!
On a red day today and not hungry yet, but nervous. Bread sarnie for lunch and jacket potato with dinner tonight means I can't have my aplen bar
