SKY HD Offer?

A question about : SKY HD Offer?

Does anyone know of any current offers for sky HD, i already have 1 normal sky box and a sky+ in the house but looking for any offer that anyone knows of to get a sky HD?

• I Just got HD box supplied for Ј49 and Ј30 fitting it was installed on Saturday. I am supposed to get Ј50 ms vouchers through the post as well.
  Got the price on line and then phoned to book ( the 0844 number is not free as stated on the sky site).
  They may tell you that the offer is an error ion the site and not available if they do just tell them they are not allowed to advertise something they can not offer.
  I got them to move my sky plus to my multiroom and my basisc box is now in the kids rooom on a freeview card.
  I also upgraded my broadband to unlimited which is free for 6 months then Ј10 per month there after
• Had a call yesterday from Sky, offering a free Sky+ HD box for an extra Ј10 a month. I already have the old sky box with the full package
  When I said that I did not have a HD TV and did not want it, they said that I could have it for free - SKY+ HD box, installation & HD channels!
  They are coming to install on the 9th of March -I will let you know what happens
• I too have just been contacted by Sky. They have offered me the Sky+HD box for free with free installation. My only outgoing is the Ј10 per month subscription for the HD service. I was a Sky+ customer near to the end of my initial 12 month agreement.
  If you are already a Sky+ customer then I expect Sky will be contacting you soon to offer you the same upgrade option. They telephoned and e-mailed me with details of the offer. I think they are having a sales drive at the moment as their posters are everywhere! If you don't hear anything from them then give them a call on 08442 411 439. I contacted them yesterday and my HD installation is booked for this Friday......just in time for the weekend's football!!!

  I thought it may mess up my deal, so I said no. He came back with-

  I recently negotiated a 6 months half price deal, so I'm paying Ј9 a month.
  I couldn't really refuse him!
  Just to add, he said they'd be calling all current customers at some point, so it may be worth holding out for.

• All those saying you can get out of paying the Ј10pm for HD Channels. Do you mean you can have the box but no premium HD Channels or you still get them but for free?
  I seem quite good at getting a deal out of Sky but I can't see how they would drop that monthly charge AND offer free installation AND free box. Although mine is being installed on Tuesday, any tips on getting this deal would be nice! Thanks

  It included the HD channels, but without the Ј10 per month for 12 months. Not really sure why Sky would do this, as I guess it won't even cover their costs on the box.
  If you've already signed up, then I don't think they'll drop the Ј10 p/m to be honest; still not a bad deal though even with the monthly cost.
  I quizzed the gent that called me on it, he said that everyone who had received a 'Supertelly' flyer through the post would be getting a call and all customers would eventually. Advice to anyone wanting when they get the call would be to um and err about the Ј10 a month, then say you don't think you can afford it; they came straight back with Ј0 p/m.

• I got a call last week offering me free HD box, free installation and free HD subs for 12 months with no commitment afterwards (I currently have sky+ box with full channel package). As I was about to go pick the kids up the lady said she could arrange a call back for the weekend and said she would put a note on my account to say what I had been offered in case I wanted to ring back. Well, after getting no call back by tea time today I rang their HD upgrade line to be told it was a very special offer and I had to wait for that department to ring me back because he couldn't match the offer. Have I missed out now???

• probably not, I'm half expecting them to just come and spray my sky+ box black for those kind of costs! I'll let you know when it gets fitted.
• I missed a call of Sky on Thursday, but they rang me again on saturday and offered me:

  Free Install
  Free Sky HD subscription for 12 months
  So couldn't really refuse, being installed this saturday. I was prepared to seem uninterested if they wanted me to pay for the HD service, but as it happened they offered it to me straight away.
