A question about : Shadowrun: Dragonfall
Both on sale on steam. Both very very well regarded.
I'm not a huge fan of turn based combat, i'm much more a huge fan of the pause function play you get with baldur's gate and such.
I wanted to buy pillars of eternity but it's not out yet and i'll probably get Arklash legacy which is an indie game along the same lines but really scaled down. But reading the reviews it seems like i'd be missing out not to pick these up.
dragons run directors cut is Ј5 and divinity: original sin is Ј20 until the end of tomorrow I believe. Arklash legacy is Ј4 until january.
I don't have a lot of time or money and i think divinity original sin will probably drop in price again, they seem to have these sales very often on steam.
I'd still like to know what people recommend.

Transistor is also on sale today (dynamic turn-based), and Dungeon of the Endless was 50% in the sale a few days ago and might be 50% again in the round-up ~January 2nd (it's pausable real-time, but rather challenging). - The confusion might be because Endless Space and Endless Legend are turn-based, but Dungeon of the Endless is very much pausable real-time (and I've had to start hitting "space" to pause, as it's playable entirely in real-time but just too difficult!). You might consider the tower defense elements as just building items to support your party (or you could also consider your party as supporting your built items, if you prefer!).
It's not story-driven like Baldur's Gate - it's a rogue-like. It's as though Baldur's Gate and F.T.L. had a mutant, dust-powered baby that was rock-hard (harder than F.T.L.).
Ooh, F.T.L. is another pausable real-time and is a stone-cold classic! But... quite different from games like Baldur's Gate. Yeah, throw F.T.L. onto your I-must-find-out-about-this-game list.
Dynamic turn-based is what games like Final Fantasy 7 use.
