A question about : Sealed Pot Challenge 2 "The Return"

Hi everyone. Here we are again with another Sealed Pot Challenge!
The idea is to save as much as is possible for us all, as individuals, throughout the following year for Christmas, hence why we seal the pots to save us being tempted from opening and spending it. Any spare cash can be put away, every day, week, month, whatever is best for you all. It's all very easy and all newcomers will very soon get the idea, but below are the basics.
Get yourselves pots, it doesn't need to cost much...make yourself one by using Nykmedia's paper mache recipe by using this link https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/...605703&page=30 (the recipe can be found near the bottom of the page) If making your own doesn't appeal then buy a money box, piggy bank, ready sealed tins in well known, reasonably priced shops! If you wish, use any pot for now then look out for something different/better in sales after Christmas, or put whichever one you fancy on your Christmas list. You can even use a coffee jar, gravy/drinking chocolate carton. There are many options in the house to choose from...which are extremely MSE. After selecting your pot, seal round the lid with cellotape, make a slit in the top..and away you go!
NB. If you make a paper mache pig/cow/penguin or whichever you wish to turn it into, then you won't need to seal it, though you will need to operate on it at the end of the challenge!! Still, you can always have the pleasure of making a new one towards the end of the year. Terrimundi pots, widely available in shops and on line, are another already sealed way to save, though you may need to smash it come the end of the year ....or shake it to death! 
Though, not too sure how well that works.
Here is a list of members from last time and their numbers which, to make it easy to remember, can be put on to your signatures. Below that list are all the members who have signed up over the past 2 or 3 months, here are your numbers you've waited so patiently (or not) for folks. To answer one or two queries which may arise:
1/ You don't have to put a Target at all if you don't wish to, just wait and see at the end of the year by all means. If you don't meet the target you set, it doesn't matter at all.
2/ You can put money in your pots whenever you wish to, some of us can only put a few pence each day or each week, whilst others manage a couple of pounds, but then we may go for a couple of weeks without being able to put any in. If you have change left after you've been shopping - stick it in the pot! Why not, it won't be missed. So it's all entirely up to everyone to please themselves, but to save all you can for YOUR sakes!
3/ Mainly it's a challenge to see how much we can save in a year for Christmas 2009. However, this year we've had some members who needed theirs for bills, and personally, I'd far sooner they take it out for that rather than pay more interest or miss a due date. You can always start again, even if it's getting later in the year, just be happy with what YOU wish.
4/ Mainly we save for Christmas - but - if you wish to save for something special then please do so, the most important thing, to my mind, is that we're saving ...and hopefully not tempted to take it out unnecessarily. If anyone has any other queries, then please sing out ....though not too loudly, you might shatter the pots!

Here we are on a shiney new thread! Can't expect anything different after reaching a total of 733 members already!! So, the first thread is now closed so please post below everyone.
Some folks previously listed on the first post of the old thread will find themselves on the 2nd post (above), the reason being that there are now less characters per post.

Elder son has been home on leave (from the Army) for the last 4 weeks, and when he left yesterday he passed me all the odd coins lying around his room too - haven't posted in a long time but still adding change to pot, 30p today

ok 1st i took my coppers to the bank so Ј2 went in pot saturday! the rest went towards the tunnel as had to take stepsons back to essex today. well hubby did i took the bike to a horse show at towerlands arena, ms and time saving tip Get a bike! i took Ј20 pounds and only spent Ј10 so im pleased with myself there.
I found a thread to feed a family of 4 for Ј20 so im using that to try and drop the monthy shopping bill further which will be more for my pot at the end of the month!

Of course you can join, the more the merrier. Sue-UU will be along shortly to give you a shiney new number (to go with the shiney new thread), so you just need to find a shiney new pot to put loads of shiney pennies in, (old or new pennies work, we're not fussy).
