Santander Credit Card

A question about : Santander Credit Card

My wife applied online for the 23 month 0% card this evening and the response was that they would let her know in 3 days.

Do santander normally give instant decisions, which considering the response she got means in this case that they will need to do some more checks or could it be because she did it late at night?

What are other forum users experience of this?

• I had to wait a few days, they said no but then I sent a letter to them saying other banks had given me a card why not you, and they accepted my applciation.
  I don't think anyone would be checking it at this time if a real person does it it will be Monday I think. Sometimes a computer does it and then its checked by a person later on.
• Thanks. Will have to wait and see then. The checker showed that she had a 60% chance.
• Following a call this morning to customer services, she received an email this evening to say that she has been accepted and will receive a card in the post soon. No mention of the limit yet though.
• I have just got my first credit card at 23, Santander.. in an attempt to keep my credit score 'good'. Anyone reccomend any other ways?
• following another phone call today, it looks like the limit is Ј900
