Hello Roadkill Rebels,

Welcome to the October Challenge. The drill is still the same: find as much roadkill as you can between May 1st and 31st.

As HOK3Y said when she launched the first challenge in October 2013, the only stipulation is that it must be found outside of your home and/or car - it has to be money that genuinely wasn't yours or your family's before you found it! So if you find it down the side of the sofa, it doesn't count!

We also collect wombled receipts and discarded lottery scratch-cards to see if we can make some pennies that way too, and we keep track of these earnings separately.

  2p found yesterday.
• Can I join? I'm really jammy and find money everywhere, so it would be nice to document it! Although knowing my luck it'll all dry up now!
• 5c found today
• Found 20p today by the kerb.
  That is 47p so far for the month!!!
  (Hubby found 16p yesterday).
• 2p in the road when I went for a walk last night.
• Oooh I'm on a roll, found another 5c that's 10c so far this month
• Off the mark this month with 4p

• Found a penny yesterday. woo Hoo!
• Hubby popped to the shops tonight and came back with 6p plus 57 euro cents and a usa cent coin.
  Those small euro coins came in use when we went to Porto in the summer.
• I think this is going to be a quiet month for me and will be as the weather gets worse over the next couple of months.
  Thought I had lost 2 x Ј1 coins yesterday but eventually found them in the van I was in. Was gutted that I thought I had lost them!
  Edit- I found 1p outside the gym tonight.
• Hubby found 21p plus 5 cents of exotic roadkill today.
• Yesterday I found 1p and hubby found 2p.
  Today, I had a really good day - found Ј2.00 coin, 2 x 5p, 1x 2p and 6 x 1p. Also found a 1 Turkish lira and 1 Bulgarian stotinka - the lira looks just like a Ј2 coin but slightly smaller. We were celebrating for a few seconds.
• Mini-moohound found Ј1.60 in 10ps at the funfair last night, it went in his tin not mine though
• I'm really jealous of all of your finds, so far I've been having a rubbish October! I've only just managed to break the 10p barrier
  I called into the university library yesterday, and to my horror the hot drinks machine that used to be great for the odd bit of forgotten change has been replaced with a new machine!
  On Friday a hot chocolate cost 80p, now exactly the same drink from the new machine costs Ј2
• I found Ј2 and a pretty ring yesterday, and I gave both to charity, so it doesn't count, but it feels really good anyway
  20p today in the street today, which brings my total for the month to 46p
