Hello RoadKill Rebels,

Welcome to the Challenge for August 2014. The drill is still the same: find as much roadkill as you can between May 1st and 31st.

As HOK3Y said when she launched the first challenge in October 2013, the only stipulation is that it must be found outside of your home and/or car - it has to be money that genuinely wasn't yours or your family's before you found it! So if you find it down the side of the sofa, it doesn't count!

We also collect wombled receipts and discarded lottery scratch-cards to see if we can make some pennies that way too, and we keep track of these earnings separately.

• Following July's stellar (and exotic) haul I have found a further 1c (on the Corsa Italia, Sorrento) and, back in blighty, 9p already! All on 1 August!

• Went out for a drink after work and saw a 1p on the way to the bar, didn't feel comfortable enough to pick it up in front of work colleagues but managed to get it on the way back to the car.
• Have just posted last months - was away - so none for us so far this month.

• 5p this morning outside costcutters (better start to this month as I didn't get any road kill last Month).
• Off the mark with 2p found in the street

• Thought I had broken my duck and found 1p but was 0.02€ coin
  Put it in pot for holidays next year anyway.
  Later found 10p outside the cinema, my son was furious it was very funny
• On a roll now, found an actual pound on the curb edge.
• Friday - went ot work to borrow a table for the car boot - found 5p as I was opening the gates to get in
  Saturday - went carbooting (excellent flingage but that's another thread) and found 5p on my way to the loo!
  Running total for month 19p + 1c
• So pleased these threads aren't about eating roadkill like I thought they were going to be at first.
