A question about : Return rights

Hi, I recently bought some chairs from an online shop (not sure if I am allowed to say which) and received them today.

Upon assembling them I was a bit unhappy that the colour of the legs (orange!) does not really matches my laminate and then I checked the online pictures and for my surprise I realised that on the picture the advertised product is actually with light brown wooden colour. Obviously I wasn't happy with that and got in touch in attempt to exchange the legs if possible. Sadly the shops' response was that this is the way they have received it from the manufacturer and that I can return it if I want to do that.

What I am concerned about during the return is the following sentence:

Quote:

Upon the return of the products, they will undergo inspection and your refund will then be processed minus the Ј10 per box collection charge.

Please note that if the items arrive back assembled or poorly packaged, we may have to apply an additional charge.

While I don't mind the Ј10 charge, I'm worried about what classifies as poorly packaged, as I can restore most of the packaging, but obviously I can't make it look as if it has never been opened before.

Has anyone ever had problems with that or is this a standard line they are obligated to say? title=Undecided
