A question about : Red reclaims
Back in March 2013 I was contacted by a ppi company called red reclaims , they bambarded me will a ppi speil that would of convinced the best of sceptics. The person I dealt with spoke very fast with a Welsh accent - before I knew it he had me varifying myself with a Ј1 out of my bank account, he spoke about charges I told him I didn't want anything taking from my account until I had thought about it to this his answer was he would verify me and my Ј1 and call me back in a couple of hours. Got of the phone and googled them to check them out they were registered with the financial onbudsman. Nobody phoned me back I checked my bank Ј120 had been taken out. I instantly rang back and got the same man from first conversation I told him I had not given permission for any money other than the pound to verify I demanded he put the money back he told me he couldn't and it would take 28 working days to put back and by that time they will have found out if I had ppi owing and if I didn't I'd get my money back anyway. Over the next few weeks paper work got sent out documents got signed etc I called back every week to be fobbed off every week. A year passed still no ppi there excuse was company's weren't communicating with them. They kept sending the same forms out for me to re sign they then told me they had confirmation from barkleys saying I had ppi to come. They sent out more paperwork but with a different company name vanquish claims I refused to sign these I asked the company what was going on they said they would have more success getting my money under a different name as banks were coming back saying they had made me persue the ppi - it was a way of a get out for them. Basically i smelt a rat would not sign the forms haven't heard anything else from them for 8 months can't get a contact number for them. I want to know if I can claim my money back ?would the bank help? me as I was obviously conned. I paid by debit card. Does anyone know? I'm not in a situation where we could afford this type of money disappearing.
