A question about : "real" ingredients vent

The Knorr stock cube advert with Marco Pierre White claiming that they are made from real ingredients has been annoying me for a while.

Now I see that Walkers are advertising some deli crisps that are also made from real ingredients

So what sort of ingredients would you use if you didn't have any real ones - imaginary ones ?

Best answers:

  • I suspect they mean ingredients that didn't start life in a reaction vessel.
    I hate that too.
That and people looking for products without all those chemicals.
  • Synthetic flavourings, artificial sweeteners, monosodium glutamate & cheaper versions of things (vanillin instead of vanilla etc).
    Bleuch!
What annoys me more about the MPW ad is that surely there's no way someone like him would use the product.
I don't like Michael Parkinson's "over 50's Plan" ad either - using his trusted reputation to sell a financial product that might not be the best product for a particular person.
  • Not sure I fancy the idea of Walkers Real Prawns Cocktail range
  • Quote:I don't like Michael Parkinson's "over 50's Plan" ad either - using his trusted reputation to sell a financial product that might not be the best product for a particular person.
Doesn't sound very money saving either! No cover for first two years, you may pay in more than you get out and if you want to stop paying you get nothing back. A bit one sided me thinks!
  • a free parker pen
  • That's got to be worth at least 20p!
  • I think lady Penelope might think it worth more
  • I find those virtual, computer-generated ingredients very unsatisfying. I'm always hungry again 10 minutes later.
  • Its a Biro. Think it says 'Argos' on the side too.
  • Soap/ washing powder etc, apparently it gets things clean
Dont get me stated on the hygienically clean stuff
  • The guy in the shorts and high heels strutting along the street to the !!!!!cat Dolls.
Hideous! Why would someone come up with that for an advertising idea. Makes me cringe, its revolting.
