  • I've copied Jo_b's informative post from the old thread
I'm glad to see a new Quidco thread. I've been planning to do a FAQ for the start of a new thread to help people new to Quidco.
Just going to bookmark this spot and make this a work in progress!
What is a cashback site and how do they work?
Read Martin's updated article which explains all about Cashback sites and how to make money from them HERE
    How do I join Quidco?
Just register at www.quidco.com and complete your details including your email address and preferred payment method.
Do Quidco provide any referral links or incentives?
No Quidco don't have a referral scheme at all. They only deduct £5 in earnings from each member so don't pay any extra referral bonuses. People recommend Quidco genuinely without any benefit to themselves.
How does the admin fee work?
Quidco charge £5 annual fee which is deducted from the cashback that you receive. If you don't earn at least £5 then you don't pay anything at all. There are no upfront fees and Quidco don't take any additional commission from affiliate sites (unlike the majority of other cashback sites.)
    https://www.quidco.com/help/20/
How do I get paid by Quidco?
You can choose to get paid by BACS transfer directly into your bank account. This is completely secure and involves giving out your bank sort code and account number (which can all be found on a standard cheque!) There is no charge for BACS transfers and you can set your own minimum payment level at literally 0!
Alternatively, you can choose to receive payments below £50 by Paypal. Quidco do not charge for this, but you may be subject to a withdrawal fee charged by Paypal (for withdrawing amounts below £50.) If you have a Premier Paypal account, you will also be charged an additional fee by Paypal to receive the payment.
    When will I get paid?
Quidco make payments once every month, usually processed on the last working day of the month. These take around 3 days to reach your bank account. If you log into your Quidco account and click on 'My Earnings' and then click on each month, it will list all of your transactions through Quidco and will indicate what stage the payment is currently at. It will also indicate the month in which the payment is likely to be made.
Does Quidco offer 'clickthroughs' or 'free points' like Pigsback?
Quidco don't offer 'clickthroughs' as such but it is possible to earn cashback without spending any money.
You can get paid small amounts to run searches for items on different sites. You don't actually have to make any purchases to get the cashback - just click through to an advertised site after running a search.
You can go to the Kelkoo website, for example, via Quidco and search for any item. You just need to type in a keyword and press 'search'. The site will then bring up a list of items from different sites. You need to click through to one of the sites and you will get paid 10p just for searching. There is only one payment per person per day.
There are similar 'daily clicks' available through High Street Web, Carsource and Shopping.com
Are there any other ways to make money without spending loads?

    Any other good deals?
Quidco offer good rates of cashback for certain magazine subscriptions. Just remember that repeatedly taking advantage of the same offer can be classed as 'abuse' and lead to the account being closed! Don't take the mick or these offers get withdrawn from Quidco and everybody misses out.
You can get £10.40 cashback for subscribing to a free trial for The Business mag https://www.quidco.com/magazine-group-the-business/
you can get £30 for a £10 spend on gala bingo (£20 profit), for a genuine new member who deposits and wagers at least £10
    https://www.quidco.com/gala-bingo/
Please note you will not be eligible for this cashback offer if you are already a Coral user (or registered with any other Coral group site). The membership on each site crosses-over to the other so you will not fulfill the new member criteria
    Inkclub £9 for a first purchase https://www.quidco.com/inkclub/
you can get an PXM0102 for only £2.59 ,A shipping charge of £ 2.99 will be processed for each order, but that still leaves a profit on the deal (or you might actually get what is effectively a free cartridge for your existing printer)
Credit Expert Uk £5 for signing up to the one month free trial ( cancel within 30 days by ringing up, easy !! ) pays your initial £5 quidco fee and lets you check your credit file for free
    https://www.quidco.com/credit-expert-uk/
    Is the cashback guaranteed?
It is never 100% guaranteed, unfortunately. Each company has statistics listed on the left hand side of the page which indicates their track record in terms of tracking sales and the speed that they pay out cashback. The cashback owed to you is tracked through affiliate links. If you have previously visited a company's website, the commission could be paid to a different party rather than to Quidco. Quidco only pass on the commission once they have been paid by the website involved.
The best way to avoid any problems with transactions not 'tracking' is to clear your cookies before you make any purchase.
How do I delete my cookies?
Intructions for Microsoft Windows 98 and later
  • Quit Internet Explorer and quit any instances of Windows Explorer.
  • In Control Panel , double-click Internet Options.
  • On the General tab, click Delete Cookies under Temporary Internet Files, and then click OK.
  • Click OK.
  • Instructions for Firefox

  • Open the Tools menu.
  • Select Options.
  • Select the Privacy to open sub-menu.
  • Click the View cookies item.
  • Select one or more cookies you want to remove and click "Remove Cookie". Clicking "Remove All Cookies" will delete all cookies.
  • One of my transactions hasn't tracked. How do I submit an enquiry?
If you have waited for the length of time recommended by the statistics for that particular merchant, you can submit an earnings enquiry. This is the direct link but you need to be logged in for the link to work: https://www.quidco.com/new-enquiry/
Is there a general email address for Quidco?
No - Quidco have advised that the best way to contact them is to 'raise a ticket' through their site. They do view this thread but are unable to answer questions about specific accounts on here - just offer general advice and information.
Can I purchase things for other people using my own Quidco account?
No - Quidco rules states that each account should only be used for one person. They cover their costs by taking a one-off fee of £5 from each account per year. If you choose to purchase items in other people's names, it could lead to your Quidco account being closed. If a transaction does not track then you will not be able to submit an enquiry if it was not in your name.
Can two different Quidco accounts get paid into the same bank account/paypal account?
Yes - there's no problem with payments going into the same account.

  • now live, post away
  • For anybodys info, Test and vote is reduced from £1.80 to £1.50 on the site and then tracks in at £1.15 - still far better than any other site.
  • I insured my car with screentrade via quidco for cashback last year. This years search indicates that screentrade, with cashback, is the best renewal option for me. Is it possible to get cashback 2 years running with screentrade?
Do hope some can advise me on this.
    Thanks.
    Vegie.
  • Just want to order my childrens pizza for tea - usually order from Pizza Gogo on the www.just-eat.co.uk site, which used to be on the Quidco site and its gone!
    I'm gutted!
  • That guide does need a bit of updating. I'll try and do something tomorrow, see if I can add a few bits.
  • post them in a reply and I'll edit them into the post and credit you...
    then delete your reply afterwards
    thank you
  • nice new started
just got paid by gala and ebay.
  • I have signed up for my movie stream and easy cinema but the easy cinema one isn't very clear on quidco that you have to pay out to get the £10.
I chose the cheapest package at £7.96 so made £2.04 plus my money back for renting 4 dvds and the £10 has validated already but its not very clear, just a warning
Screen Select has joined love film who does the easy cinema one so would that still payout if i have joined easy cinema?

  • Anyone had any transactions from the Next sale tracked??
Next are usually pretty quick, I placed 2 orders with them last weekend, one tracked almost immediately and no sign of the other yet!
  • from the previous thread posted by quidco
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/...&postcount=732
"In fact we are also restricted by many merchants from paying you if you have more than one policy etc. Also, in the case of gambling merchants check their t&c's to see if they allow more than one sign up per household."
It would be useful for more clarification of the above , eg would there be a problem if a user applied for home insurance, ISA and life insurance from Legal & General
or would they be advised to choose separate merchants and puchase one policy from each rather than three from one merchant
"many merchants" - how about listing them ?
how is the "one policy" rule policed ?, by quidco or the merchant ? you say "...we are also restricted by many merchants from paying you ..." so I assume that quidco enforce it
What happens to the commission money in these circumstances - does quidco keep the money ?
  • Post Office and High Street Web have been received ! How fab is that!
  • Has anyone ever been paid by Lucozade Sport Campaign?
  • Anybody been paid this month from Lloyds Tsb or Pru Health?
  • Has anyone tried the Intercontinental hotels group link yet. I often use this chain and would be a welcome addition to Quidco if they are good prompt payers and was wanting a comparison with these compared to other travel/accommodation companies on Quidoc.
    Thanx for your help
  • Oh I do love Quidco:-)
Got the home insurance renewal yesterday and it was 15% up so:-
    Cleared my cookies and......
Put Buildings with Lloyds at Ј135 - Ј120 back from Quidco tracked within the hour.
Put Contents with Barclays at Ј77 - Ј80 back from Quidco tracked 24 hours later.
Total cost for the year should be Ј12 - Quidco showing payment due as September.
