privacy error message

A question about : privacy error message

I'm not techie so I don't know if this is me or ebay- but everytime I try and access my reports on ebay I am getting a privacy error message. It won't let me cut and paste but basically it says 'your connection is not private' and then goers on about a site called eshopping.promotew.com

I can't do anything once I get that screen except to open a new window and access ebay cleanly again.

• I can't be certain, but that sounds like your computer might be infected with Malware/Spyware of some sort.
  If you haven't scanned for viruses recently, theres a very good free one at www.avg.com
• Puzzles me why secure sites like ebay and even bank sites use external sites for stat reports.
  I use no-script which blocks them from loading automatically. But a bank site that links to an external one is stupid.
  I dont trust a lot of sites anyway but having other sites loading in the background makes me suspicious.
  This site uses chartbeat. You cant do that inhouse?
