A question about : Postal entry for itv comps
Hi, just wanted to confirm that the postal entry can be in the form of name and phone number put within a sealed envelope as an alternative to a postcard. Don't like my phone number just openly going through the postal system.
Thank you. :-)
Best answers:
- I was surprised to find that the general ITV terms give no guidance and neither do many of the T&C for each comp. Some ITV comps use the wording:
Quote: - Last time I looked ITV and channel 5 allow within an envelope while channel 4 do not and others will vary as well (If your postal address is not asked for then don't give it), always worth checking the T&C's.
Channel 5
Quote: - Ah ok thank you. I'll just envelope for itv and channel 5 then. With these now being the preferred route the less time phone number is just on the back of a postcard the better!
- I put mine on a sealed envelope*, in small writing, text upside down -postie wont have time to mess about, surely!
*cannot find plain postcards on sale, anywhere! - What about marketing? Are you automatically opted out if you submit postal entry?
- The access to a telephone number on a postcard is initially limited to the few who come into physical contact with it.
If you send an e-mail or submit an on-line entry form your information has the potential to be accessed from anywhere in the worldwide with internet access.
