Please forgive me for the lengthy explanations below but I feel these are necessary to give you the full picture.

Whether you agree with the TV licence is down to personal opinion. We accept that it is required by law and therefore has to be paid. Fpr your information we have always had a TV licence until last year, when we realised that we were only ever watching previously recorded programmes or using an ever-increasing amount of On Demand services, such as the BBC i-player, etc.

A question about : Question re Talk Talk 'friends and family'

Hi

I'm wondering if anyone knows this. If you are on someone's 'friends and family' list with talk talk, BUT you are not with talk talk yourself, is their call to you free for them? (during the day?)

Grateful if anyone knows the answer to this. I have to pay for my daytime calls, so I want to tell my relative (who's with talk talk, and who is elderly) to call me and that it won't cost them. I need to find out first.

A question about : BT, Their Engineers.

Waited for 3hrs each time for bt engineers to turn up on two separate days. After ringing bt for hours, they told me they were not coming. Does anyone know if I can claim against bt for the loss of earnings?

BT Line Still Live With New Number

A question about : BT Line Still Live With New Number

Morning all.

For years we have had Virgin Media ADSL broadband down the phone line with our telephone service from BT. Due to Virgin's dumping of ADSL customers to Talk Talk we decided to stay with Virgin and go for Cable broadband plus their phone service. Under this transfer, our old BT number would be ported across to the Virgin line on the day BT terminated our service.

Vodafone contact email

A question about : Vodafone contact email

Does anyone know of a functioning email address to contact Vodafone? My OH is in the midst of a billing dispute with them, and has been given:

crinformation@help.vodafone.co.uk
and
consumer.help@vodafone.co.uk

Both these addresses were given to him over email, so he could copy and paste them, but both emails bounced back. MTIA

Different providers for line rental & broadband ok?

A question about : Different providers for line rental & broadband ok?

I have a broadband contract with BT for another few months but annual line rental with BT ends shortly.

I was thinking of changing the line rental to the Post Office but in live chat with BT they said I can't do this.

Anyone know if this is correct? I can't find the info on the BT website.

Hi,

Sorry if this is arepeat thread but I have just been to my local currys and swapped a faulty TV under the extended warrenty we purchased at point of sale.

We brought a JVC TV+DVD combo on Oct 2013 and gave it to our daughter as a Christmas present. This afternoon it wouldnt switch on, so I contacted the support helpline.

They said it was on an instant exchange warrenty so take it to store.
