Olympics advertising

A question about : Olympics advertising

Anybody else getting p*ssed off with the ever increasing number of adverts on TV, related to/advertising olympics....

McDonalds, Holiday Inn, washing power, fairy liquid, head and blinkin shoulders.......

  To be honest, I know i'll probably get shot down for this next statement, but.....
  I'm sick to death of hearing about it , full stop!!
  I begrudge being TOLD by all the ' sporting embassadors ' how proud every person in Britain is to have the Olympics here.
  Sorry, not me, in fact I will be glad when its all over!!

• They keep telling us how many days until it starts. I just wanna know how many days until it's over and how many years until we've finished paying for it.
• Not the slightest bit of interest in the Olympics here either, fortunately having no TV we have been able to more or less forget that it is on, have only been seeing the souvenir things and most of them are quite good for a laugh.
• Its only for Londoners anyway no one else will benefit

• i can understand why there's a plethora of adverts - the amount of money these companies pay to sponsor the olympics is enough to make your nose bleed.

• I'm not as annoyed with the corporate advertising as seeing more and more money being spent on this waste of an event. And its not just going to affect London either.
  Living not far off the London - Weymouth travel area myself its going to be a nightmare travelling anywhere during those weeks and once they are here they will travel elsewhere within the UK as well.
  Most people I know aren't running their normal events this summer due to the expected travel problems to the deluge of people.

• Couldnt give a monkeys either,glad when its all over.
  Can someone explain to me why I should be proud when someone runs/swims/cycles faster than someone else?I couldnt care less.
