A question about : Odeon premiere club

Although you need to pay to join, the Odeon Premiere Club - which is a loyalty scheme operating in some Odeon cinemas - could be worth joining if you go to the cinema frequently. You earn 10 points for each Ј1 spent ( & need about 300 points for a free coca-cola, 800 points for a cinema ticket). Joining options are Ј1.99 (receive 100 free bonus points), Ј4.99 (500 bonus points) or Ј9.99 (1000 bonus points + double points for first month of membership). Depending on the price of tickets at your local cinema you may recoup most of the joining fee.

Best answers:

  • Jmj, you keep talking about points in your post. Are you refering to Nectar points?
  • Nice to get something off Odeon!
  • Its a scam in my opinion, you have to buy the card at like Ј10....but u do go to the cinema free once after that on the points...but this would cost Ј8, so you pay Ј2 for the card!
You then have to go 12 times to get a free ticket!
  • Is it a one off payment or monthly? And is there any difference between the schemes apart from the price. I couldn't find any full details on the web.
  • where do you get it from? i got a carers card just wondering if its worth getting?
  • Absolutely rubbish if you ask me.
Need to go 12 times to get a free ticket! If it was 5 it would be worthwhile.
  • I just searched online to find out what everyone else thought of it and I’m glad to see that everyone who’s joined feels the same way. I think it’s great – apparently you get entered in to lots of competitions and giveaways etc. the points are adding up more quickly than I thought and I’ve been only a few times so far and bought some popcorn and a few drinks – I’ve already got a free ticket!! I’m really pleased that Odeon are giving something back to loyal customers…nice one Odeon.
  • It certainly adds up quickly for a family, 3 adults and 1 child. The Ј1.99 card is a bargain.
  • yes you can use with a carers card result
  • Do you accumulate points if you have Admit One tickets? We can purchase cheaper Admit One tickets from John Lewis as an employee perk and then hand over the ticket at the Odeon counter. Would I get points for that?
    AMO
  • i think it's a good idea if you're a film fanatic
  • It is great as we've collected over 3000 points already and don't go that often.
They won't be getting our business next week though, having to see Alice elsewhere
    thank goodness for common sense
so a few more points will be added this week...
  • I think its really good. I brought a card for Ј1.99 when it first came out in my local cinema a few months ago. You get points for food and drink you purchase aswell as the tickets themselves. Hubby recently went with his cousin and a friend and they both used the card to clock up points. When we went to see the lovely bones a few days ago we had managed to clock up enough points to get a free ticket and as hubby has a CEA card which got me in free anyway we both got in for free
  • I bought a card a few weeks ago and was told at the time that you also get Ј2 off your ticket price on a Tuesday so the card will pay for itself if you buy the cheaper one... However nobody has mentioned this on here and I can't see it on their site so just wondered if anybody has tried this, if it's true then the savings would add up.
