NPower Grrrrrr

A question about : NPower Grrrrrr

Hi guys. I left Npower in November 2013 they wrote to me in January 2014 saying I was Ј345 in credit. After chasing them & chasing them, they sent me a letter today basically saying sorry for the delay but in the next week or so they will send me a cheque for Ј160!!! I am just wondering where the rest of the money as gone???... I have tried ringing them today but after been on hold for 48 minutes!!! I had to go to work. I am thinking of asking them for interest on my money or compensation for the long delay. Has anyone else had a similar problem, & did they manage to sort it out?

• Threaten them with the small claims court. It's great this sort of stuff, isn't it? If you missed a payment of Ј0.01 for one day the likes of nPower would immediately try to trash your credit history with a late payment marker, making it more difficult for you to get a mortgage or whatever (assuming you're daft enough to give them sufficient info such as DoB to allow them to report you to the credit reference agencies). When the boot's on the other foot though, anything goes. They don't give a toss, and you've got to bust a gut to get your money. Companies like npower make me vomit! They are the worst example of corporate scum imaginable.
