  • I ordered some shoes from River Island on xmas day for store delivery up to 4 days later.
Had an email 2 days later to say they had been dispatched and wait for the delivery email
Visited the store 1 week later to ask what was going on? Was told they were still waiting for them to be delivered there
Emailed their customer service - no reply
Phoned them twice yesterday (15 days after order) to finally be told the package has been lost in transit and i could have a refund!
    Just a joke!

if "Shoppers want greater flexibility as to how and when they receive goods" - just stop buying from retailers who use only couriers.
  • From the paucity of replies to this thread it seems that many MSE'ers, like myself, were "savvy"-enough to avoid such problems.
Also quite possibly their "Christmas orders" were in fact placed at the best time for buying, which in many cases was well before such problems occurred.
For myself, therefore - no problems.
