Getting a Cosco Card

A question about : Getting a Cosco Card

Hi,

Does anyone know how I could get a Cosco card. I'm not really eligeable for any of the services (work in the IT profession).

I seen in some older posts that there where ways around it that allowed people to get their own memberships.

Any advice?

  ISTR individual members can only shop from noon onwards in my local.
  You'll save money if you're buying for a family and have a spare freezer. Otherwise its pretty marginal as they sell produce in large quantities.
• Not even by industry? I think they do ask for some proof, its been ages since I looked into it personally. I just go with a friend who's a member as its marginal savings for me.
• Check with the company you work for, Costco membership might be available if Costco has a deal with your firm to accept all their employees.

• There's always a stand in the middle of town here offering memberships for Ј25 (I think that's per year)
• I think they try to make it as easy as possible.
  I'm a retired from a major American company - I qualify.
  My wife retired from the NHS - she qualifies.
  One of my daughters is self employed - she qualifies.
  My other daughter probably doesn't qualify.
  So 3 out of 4 isn't bad and we only need one, the others can have a family card.
  The main requirements seem to be breathing, pulse and warm, but not necessarily all three !
• You sometimes see stands in towns and shopping centres and most household exhibitions have a stand where you can join up on the spot and these do not ask for evidence of jobs etc or even if you fit the criteria.
• I think anyone can get one. There are limits to when you can get in, some business customers get access from 10am when they open, certainly in Glasgow. However, i've never had any problems getting in at that early time, other branches may be different.
  I find some things like large bags of teabags, coffee, coffemate, cases of water, pepsi etc are alot cheaper than the supermarkets.
  Birthday cakes are good value too.
  The offers every two or four weeks are good, and I've also found that if you're looking for a big tv, luxury watches, household large items aren't too bad either. TV's get a five year warranty too and any i've checked out the tv's were a lot cheaper than any where else, even online.
  It does depend what you're looking for.
