A question about : Ebay purchase
Hi
I wish to purchase a number of the same item to place in charity gift boxes. However the postage is high so I asked the seller if it could be combined.
She has suggested that I purchase one item on Ebay, paying postage, and then she will invoice me for the rest so as to avoid Ebay fees and make the postage cheaper. Does this violate any Ebay rules as I sell myself and don't want to compromise my account?
Thanks

- It is basically 'vanilla' Ebay fee avoidance, however Ebay would never know and your account won't be compromised.
Is it the sort of item that would genuinely cost more to post if you bought more than one? - They would if they read the message sent to me by the seller and yes, the postage would be more due to weight and size of the package.
- payment can be still be made via a paypal invoice. once one item is sold via ebay the seller has the buyers paypal address. (that's got to be a loop hole ebay must want to close)
- Why not ask the seller to create one listing for the number of items you want, with one reasonable postage fee?
- Ask if they can invoice you for all things together .See if they will post by hermes are rates are cheaper 3-5kg 5.50 if lighter would be cheaper. If postage they are charging is about that no need to add more postage.
