A question about : sunday market/ car boot sale

I wonder if anybody could tell me the exactly address and business hours for sunday market or car boot sale around cardiff. thanks

• cant help you with exact addresses (try the whats on section in the echo), but i know there is one in bessemer road, and the other is splott way somewhere
• bessemer road market is just off ninian park road. go passed the football ground heading towards penarth road and turn right by the car show room opposite the garage. follow road and market is about 1/2-3/4 way down on left. splott market used to be on the site over the black bridge. will check with relatives tommorrow whether still on this site and post reply tommorrow.

• I've heard that there is a very large carboot sale in Sully during the summer which is supposed to be excellent. Keep on meaning to go, myself. If you drive past Cosmeston Lakes, drive into Sully and its in the grounds of Social or rugby club on your left hand side. I don't think you'll miss it, as Sully is very small. Not sure when it starts up though.
  Sully is between Cardiff and Barry and just past Penarth.
• relatives advised splott market is in sanquhar street in splott. you cannot go over the black bridge in a car. bridge is just a railway bridge over which people walk and is called black bridge because it's painted black. no cars allowed on it. do you need directions to sanquhar street? if so choose landmark in cardiff and will provide them- do you know where castle, millenium stadium, queen street (shopping centre), jail, fire station etc etc is?
• Get to bessemer rd early for the bargain hunters....car booters pack up midday from what I can remember
• Not 100% sure but I think the Car Boot Sales in Bessamer and Splott are on Saturday not Sunday.

• Splott is Saturday - Bessamer is Sunday - out of the two Splott is better as more people tend to go.
• Splott Market has a boot sale on Saturday with small market under cover, the full market is on Sunday. Bessemer has a boot sale on Saturday and a market on Sunday.
• The car boot sale in Sully is fantastic!
  They run from May to August.
  I think the first one will be the 7th May (they're on Sundays).
  If you are selling I think it's Ј5, but it's free to visit.
  They get really busy. I was getting down there for 8.30 and people were always there before me.

• Yes I usually go to the Sully car boots - sometimes selling and sometimes just wandering around - I have picked up some lovely plants for my garden from there. I also prefer it to Bessemer.
  There is sometimes a car boot sale on a Sunday in the Barry Boys Comprehensive School in Barry (best to check Barry and District before you set off).

  have you been to the boys school boot sale? what a shame its so rubbish! nah, think that's unfair - it just hasn't been advertised enough.
  i have always found car boots to be a waste of time, but sully has to be the best i've been to (like bessemar used to be) - counting down to may!
• I agree, Sully is my favourite - friendly atmosphere and genuine people doing a clear out.
  Some schools have table top sales and car boots - I've occasionally seen them in the Echo small ads on a Thursday.
• The first Barry Boys car boot sale starts on 24th April. They are hoping it will be bigger and better than before.

  Is the bootsale at Barry Boys all outdoors? I remember a couple of schools had sales inside and around their sports halls - bit easier with our lovely Welsh weather! Where DID that sun go ?
• Hi, following advice from this board went to splott yesterday and was a good market/boot sale....although i got there late and people were packing up! can recommend the indian fast food van....great homemade curry!!
