A question about : new electric meter

Hi we had a new electric meter fitted in November,

Do the people who fitted it inform the supplier of the meter reading from the old meter ?

we will be moving soon and im not sure i have the readings from the old meter.

  • Both times I've had my meter changed they've left a card with the meter serial numbers, readings and dates and these are still sitting there tucked behind the meters. What happened to yours?
  • You really should have noted the closing number on the old meter. If not, check on your online account or with your supplier. If on quarterly billing you should be due a bill around now?
