A question about : MSE Sky 50% off BroadBand code not working.

Hi

Have just got hold of the offer code to get the 50% off Sky BroadBand from MSE link. Clicked through to the offer page added the code where requested and it is informing me We do not recognise the offer associated with the code you've entered. Please check that you have entered the offer code correctly. I have copied and pasted it over and written it in myself but neither is recognised. Could there be an error in the code supplied? Perhaps one of the numbers should be a letter or vice versa?

So irritated as I was waiting to switch then found this MSE blagged deal via the MSE weekly email waited till 1pm today for a code and now I am getting knowhere

Hope someone can help me sort this out by end of the day. Thanks.

• Just wanted to point out there are several people now having this issue as reported on the BroadBand board.
• Does anyone have a spare code please? Was too late to get one.
• So much for beleiving in better I was informed earlier:
  Sky's press office says traffic has been so enormous that it has crashed its site. They are currently working on it to get it back in action.

  On the price for new line installation, Sky's press office originally told us it was Ј15 by mistake, but have now amended this to Ј20.
• Have contacted sky re this problem, they then offered me the same deal for Ј19 !!!
• Have just refered back to the offer which has been updated as codes all gone but at the bottom of the information it points out "We have 3,000 codes available, but only 2,000 can redeem." Can anyone explain what this means? Thanks
• It means they will only honour 2000 codes.
• Another update from Sky: they struggled with high traffic earlier, but apparently everything is back in working order now.

  What an excellent code this has proved to be. I have now got the full top sky package for Ј36.25 (reduced from Ј72.50) for 12 months. Sky have even given me sky go extra for 12 months and the full HD pack.
  Sky customer services seemed to be unaware of this deal. Its amazing what you can get with a little haggling after MSE started this off with there code.
  I was previously a sky customer just over a year ago and because the 12 months had lapsed I was treated as a brand new customer and sent a free wifi enabled sky box as well.
  In relation to phone and broadband I was going to change that over to sky as well until I asked TALKTALK for my MAC code to complete the swap. After 20 mins on the phone they offered me 12 months line rental free worth Ј141 and have given me free evening and weekend calls including 0845 and 0870 numbers and free international calls boost worth Ј3.50 per month.
  Total cost for phone, line rental and broadband with international calls Ј6.50 per month for 12 months.
  I was amazed, thanks for saving me so much money.

  I requested a code, it arrived but I could not use it as said I was still a customer even though I had not subscribed to Sky for over 2 years! I do however pay them Ј10 per month for the Sky plus functionality of my sky box (rewind, pause, record).
  So I phoned up the number supplied and explained that I had a code to claim 50% discount but could only use it via a designated link. The man from Sky took me through the whole proccess and assured me that I could still use the code to claim the discount.
  So if you get the same message when you try to use the link, just phone up Sky and get them to register you over the phone.
  My Sky is being installed this coming weekend!
