A question about : Liverpool Wedding

We are trying to get married on a budget. Looking to spend 1k-1.5k

We are going to get married in a registry office and then we have two options

1. Book a reception in hotel for example with a package price for meal, dj etc

Or

2. Book a table in a restaurant for a meal and then book a room somewhere and buffet dj etc

What would people recommend as the better option money wise?

Best answers:

  • You might just have to get a few quotes and price both options up accordingly. Sometimes going for a package can be cheaper than having to source everything yourself (as OH's sister is finding out to her dismay).
  • How many people are you looking at as that will affect how far your money goes.
    I think you'd find it tight for option one on that budget, having had a bit of a look in the northwest prior to booking our reception
  • I got married in the registry office in St Georges Hall which is a lovely building and cheap.
    My friend did their engagement party at the Shipping Forecast which was pretty great if you like that kind of thing.
