A question about : Leaving Halifax after 9.5 years!
It's been a productive evening!
I've applied to Santander to transfer my main Halifax Reward account to them so that I can use the 123 account as a savings account for my wedding in 18 months' time.
Meanwhile I've also applied to Yorkshire Bank to transfer a basic current account I have with Halifax so that I can get the Ј150 switch reward from them.
Fingers crossed that everything will go to plan!
Best answers:
- Good luck. Don't forget to switch back to Halifax for Ј125, and then Ј60 a year.
- My only concern would be that 11 years "time with bank" would have looked better than 18 months when being scored for the mortgage.
I might be tempted to retain a current account with Halifax (if its not too late). - Already have my mortgage, but due a renewal in December.
- I'd keep the Halifax Reward for the Ј60 a year it can earn. You can still have a 123 and other current accounts.
