A question about : Leave station on route.
I have a return train ticket from Hull to Harrogate. On the way back I am going to change at Leeds.
Now the question is whilst I am changing trains at Leeds I have 30mins, so can I leave through the barriers to go and get some food and return to get my train or will the barriers not let me through as my journey doesn't end there?
Best answers:
- Thanks, that makes sense.
- I've never had a problem doing this, usually at Harlow Town on a Liverpool Street to where I live ticket, to get some shopping on the way home.
- I don't know, but I would check the terms & conditions or check with the staff to make sure. Most tickets won't allow you to get off at the "wrong" stop. Stupid and a rip-off, but that's the railways for you.
- Even on Advance booked-train-only tickets you are always allowed to break your journey for connectional purposes.
- In all the time I've used Leeds for connections I've never had a problem going through the barriers
