A question about : Joseph in Manchester help

My mam and I really want to take my twin boys to see Joseph, they have just done a performance of it in School and loved it. It is advertised at the Palace Theatre Manchester in September but I really cannot justify the ridiculous fees per ticket and then a transaction fee on top.

Has anyone any tips how to avoid these extra fees?

Does attending the Theatre to purchase the tickets direct avoid the fees? Can you do this at the Palace?

Thanks in advance

Best answers:

  • You'll usually have a booking fee, even at the event box office at the Palace.
Why not call them to check? They will be more than happy to help and as far as I know they have a line to the ticket office.
Shows in city centres are expensive, and if you pay by card you will likely have a transaction fee on top.
  • It probably won't save you (much) money for this one trip, but if you are likely to go to the theatre again in the next twelve months (e.g. the Panto), you could consider getting an ATG theatre card ?.
It costs Ј30 for the year and gives you discounts off some performances/seat grades, plus no booking fee - often the first night is two for one.
I'm not sure how may seats you are allowed to book (it used to be four) but I see that for the performance of Joseph I checked they are saying that card members get Ј10 off selected seats, and you wouldn't have to pay any booking fee. - As Dom Ravioli says, give the box office a ring and see if having a card would save you money on the trip.
