iPod exchange?

A question about : iPod exchange?

I'm sure I read last year about an exchange Apple were offering for an old recalled model for a newer version. Can anyone point me in the right direction for some more information on this?

• Just type in apple nano replacement into google.
  It relates to ipod nano 1st generation and problems with their battery. They send you a jiffy bag for you to return it and they replace it with a 6th generation one (small square one) minus any leads or headphones.
  I only found this out when I wanted to sell my one recently and was shocked when I price checked on ebay. 1st generation ones going for Ј50, but they all said about the replacement program..
