  • Assuming the lady is of working age, she will be migrated on to Pip and will receive a letter as part of the phased transfer inviting her to claim PIP. There is no automatic transfer from DLA to PIP.
For people already getting DLA who were aged 16 to 64 on 8 April 2013, or turn 16 after that date, the DWP will eventually ask them to make a new claim for PIP even if she has an indefinite or lifetime award of DLA.
The DWP will inform her when she needs to claim PIP. If she fails to claim it, her DLA award will end. If she make's a claim for PIP, the DWP will continue to pay DLA until four weeks after they make a decision on whether she can get it. There should be no break in payment if she's moved on to PIP.
  • Many thanks ' fed up and stressed' who is not these days. The lady is 66 this month, so not working age, are there different rules for that?
