A question about : How many vegans on board?

Wasn't sure where to put this, thought here was best because it is an environmental topic too.

*is nosy*

Btw I haven't put this thread here to debate about veganism, if you don't agree with it put yer own d@mn thread up title=Stick

Best answers:

  • ME!
(But you already knew that, sleepymy )
  • Hallo Pandora
will I put the kettle on while we're waiting on the rest? *wants some vegan chocolate cake*
  • Oohh so did I girl
And I got married in a red dress *is chocolate loving hussy*
*leaves trail of whizzer mini eggs to tempt t'other vegans along*
  • I have tried the couverture bar but didn't like it, though it might have been because I tried it too soon after going vegan and my palate hadn't adjusted.
Green & Blacks have hit the nail on the head when it comes to taste, it's just a pity they're owned by Cadburys. I have to admit to giving in to the call of their maya gold when I'm baking chocolate muffins *drools*. The plamil ones are good but don't quite have the kick though.
I'll have to post the muffin recipe here, it's very easy and they're delicious. I was thinking people could use this thread to post vegan recipes and products that they like.
  • whizzer mini eggs! yay!
would love to go vegan - been veggie for half my life and don't like milk or eggs but am a sucker for veggie cheese and' normal' chocolate - except whizzer eggs, they're yum!
  • My GF is vegan, I am not even veggy but I do not eat meat or dairy.
Top vegan choccies in my opinion, Booja Booja (expensive I know), Green and Blacks Maya Gold, Organica Vegan Hazelnut Nougat & Dark Chocolate
(I ate one by mistake honest), B'Nice Belgian Natural Chocolate Non-Dairy Dessert (it's rice milk based and even better than Swedish Glace).
  • Another vegan here!
  • Hi everyone! I've been vegan for 20 years (since I was 15).
Did you see Panorama last night about green living?
They said the best way to cut down our envirnomental footprint is to go vegan.
(To anyone thinking about it... go for it, it ain't that hard, honest. )
  • Hi I am new to this site but saw you posting about vegans, my friend is a strict vegan and wants to take out a credit card, he has just cancelled his co op one because of problems do any of you know of a credit card suitable for vegans
    thanking you
  • Well I'm almost vegan
I'm very definately vegetarian, but I've got a wheat intolerance, and a slight dairy intolerance, so have rice milk and vegan marge, but I do eat egg and cheese now and then, but eat egg free mayonnaise. I eat egg/cheese based dishes as if I didn't, there wouldn't be a great deal I could eat at times (it was all I could eat for breakfast on our last HB holiday
I have slight intolerances to egg, tomato, potato, and soya too
  • Welcome other vegans, and soon to be vegans It's nice to see some more like minded people here

  • I'm almost vegan, I don't eat any meat and drink soya milk although I do eat eggs (free range) I think there will be a lot more people turning veggie/vegan after watching the BBC3 show Kill it, Cook it, Eat it. My brother said he watched it with his friend and they were both nearly sick watching the cow get slaughtered!!
  • Do you mind me asking where you all buy your shoes from? I won't wear leather ones.
  • Another vegan here!!!

  • Hi bagpuss, I've bought shoes from veganstore.co.uk and have discovered that a lot of new look footwear isn't actually leather. They are much more expensive from the vegetarian sources but they are from non-sweatshop sources and non-animal glue which you can't be guaranteed with New Look etc. I would prefer to buy all mine from vegetarian sources but can't afford to atm as I want my vegan values to include the welfare of the human animals too
  • lol Old McDonald your username and signature are funny!
  • Vegan Village also have links to places where you can buy shoes
